About UsMISSION STATEMENT: The goal of Friends Academy is to provide meaningful learning experiences in a safe and nurturing educational environment. It is our goal to foster a love of learning in a positive atmosphere for students, teachers, and families. We recognize and respect each child’s uniqueness and natural curiosity. We will support each child’s emotional and intellectual growth.

Who We Are |
Friends Academy founders Kristi Tilley Frosch and Keri Tilley Fletcher, along with their families, created a dream school for their children. Combining their public school teaching experience and passion for children with their discovery of the beauty of homeschooling, they have created an option for families in Hondo and surrounding communities.

Our History |
Friends Academy began informally with the homeschooling of two of our daughters and a friend. Through this process we realized how much more we could offer local children with a school that fused the best parts of public school with the best of homeschool, and we began the planning of our new school and opened in 2015.
